Overview

What this division does

There are two sides to the same field. We harvest, transport, and install sod for erosion control on every site, and because we grow our own, we sell premium grass by the pallet or truckload to contractors, nurseries, and anyone who needs it to actually take, everything from Bahia to exotic species.

Scope of work

What we do in-house

01

Erosion-control install

Grass on curbs, sidewalks, pond banks, and swales, anywhere water would otherwise wash the site out. Erosion control is required on every project, and we handle it in-house.

02

Grow, sell, transport & install

We grow and harvest across our own fields and sell by the pallet or truckload, for our own jobs, for other contractors, and for nurseries. We transport and install too.

03

Hydroseeding & hay blowing

Electric seeder application for large-area stabilization and erosion control, followed by hay blowing to hold it in place before it takes. Not every outfit has a hay blower; we do.

Grasses we grow

Pick the right grass for the job.

We grow and harvest across our own fields, so you get sod that's fresh, healthy, and matched to the site. Sold by the pallet or truckload to contractors, nurseries, and resellers.

Bahia

The only native of the group. Tough, drought-tolerant, and economical, it's the workhorse for roadsides, large lots, and erosion control.

Provista

An exotic St. Augustine, dwarf and low-maintenance with a dense, dark blade.

Floratam

An exotic St. Augustine. Vigorous and broad-bladed for full-sun lawns and fast coverage.

Bitter Blue

An exotic St. Augustine with a deep blue-green color and better shade tolerance.

Seville

An exotic St. Augustine, fine-bladed and shade-tolerant for a more refined look.

Zoysia

An exotic, fine-blade and dense. Soft underfoot and slow-growing for high-end lawns.

Palmetto

An exotic St. Augustine, shade-tolerant and durable, with good color year-round.
